When we are young, we have clear goals and a lot of things we want to achieve in life. As we get older, we faced a lot of challenges, a lot of distractions, and a lot of things that make us confused want we really want in our life. Now, what should you do? Here are simple ways to know what do you want to do in your life and be happy.
Audit yourself or do an analysis of yourself.
What do you feel right now? Are you happy? is there something incomplete? Assess yourself. Do you really love your work right now? Do you love what you are doing or you are already drowned from the distractions you have right now? write this down on paper or take note of this on your notes. Aside from this, try to remember the things that you love before. The activity that you really love before. Take note of this as well.
After writing down everything, do a further check.
Now, from what you wrote, label them if you feel happy doing it or not. How satisfied you are with that task or do you feel unsatisfied. For example, label your current job if you are happy doing it or not and know the factor why you are happy or not, maybe because of the people, your boss, or just the environment. After doing this, you will eventually realize what you really want to do in your life to be happier. Maybe some will say this, "even if I'm doing this, my brain can't tell what I want". If this happens to you, try to feel and trust your gut. Our gut contains 500 Million neurons that are connected to our brain. Just like our old saying, if you feel a butterfly in your stomach, maybe you love what you are doing or you love that specific person.
Take an action
An idea or dream without execution is useless. Since you already know what you love, start it now. The best feeling when you already know what to do in life is to start it and walk to the path that you always want to do.
Conclusion: What we want in our life is already in our minds. You just need to figure it out and take action on it. Do what you love, and be happy.
